Beer Festivals

Trafford & Hulme CAMRA currently organise the Chorlton Beer & Cider Festival in conjunction with St Clement's Church, Chorlton

The festival offers visitors the opportunity to sample a much wider selection of real ales than you could do at even the best pub. All Trafford & Hulme festivals also feature a range of traditional cider & perries.

The eight Greater Manchester branches of CAMRA join together to organise the Manchester Beer and Cider Festival, the innaugaural festival being arranged for January 2014 at the iconic Manchester Velodrome at the National Cycling Centre.

In addition, many members of the branch volunteer at other CAMRA festivals including the The Great British Beer Festival.

All CAMRA festivals rely on the efforts of CAMRA volunteers to run. Volunteering to work at beer festivals is great fun and an excellent way to make new friends.

Listed below are the cask ales ordered for Chorlton Beer & Cider Festival 2012.

There will be approximately 20% more beer available than in 2011 so we expect to maintain a good range through to Saturday evening.

Style guides and tasting notes will be available closer to the date of the festival - please check back later.

Except where indicated below, we will endeavour to have all beers available at opening, but we cannot guarantee that any particular beer will be available at any particular section.

The 12th Chorlton Beer and Cider Festival will be held on 7th, 8th & 9th July 2016 at St Clement's Church on Edge Lane in Chorlton-cum-Hardy.

Run in conjunction with St Clements, the festival began in 2005 to raise funds for the repair of the church buildings, but has grown to become a firm fixture in the Chorlton social calendar and the branch's premier festival. The festival continues to raise funds for the upkeep of the church complex which offers a wide range of meeting places serving the Chorlton community.

The festival takes place in the buildings and grounds of the Church. 2016 will see the addition of a third cask ale bar and a new bar selling key-keg conditioned beers. Expect 100+ beer plus one of Manchester's largest cider & perry bars with over 50 traditional ciders & perries and the World Beers bar with a great range of bottled beers.

There's live music in the grounds and a range of quality street food available at each session.
