More beer, cider and perry than ever before - 20% more than in 2010.
New simplified entry system
More room in beer hall
The 7th Chorlton Beer & Cider Festival promises to be the biggest and best yet. After the amazing success of the 2010 event that saw all 5300 pints of ale drunk by 8.30 on Saturday night, this year we are ordering 20% more beer so it is hoped that we will be able to stay open all the way through until 10.30pm on Saturday.
Fitting more beer in the church hall is a challenge, but organisers have arranged a new layout that not only will mean that there is more beer availble, it will also mean there is more room in the beer hall, making it easier to move about when choosing & ordering your beer.
Over 60 beers will be available over the two days of the festival. These will include a large selection of LocAle's sourced from our local breweries alongside a range of from further afield. As usual there will be a mixture of well known breweries and beers and rare or new beers and breweries.
There will be a new system on entry to the festival with your festival glass included in a single entrance fee of £5 - no need to queue separately for your glass. Card carrying CAMRA members will receive a voucher for a free beer.
Once again, the scout hut will host a fantastic range of over 30 traditional ciders and perries alongside a range of bottle foreign beers. After a successful trial last year, the tutured cider tasting will return giving drinkers the chance to learn more about how traditional cider and perry is produced and an opportunity to taste the different styles . This will be held at 1pm on Saturday, before the festival opens to the public. The tutored tasing will cost £20 ( includes entrance, glass and £5 beer voucher).
