Comments are invited on the draft Trafford Local Plan and accompanying Integrated Assessment from 4th February 2021 until 18th March 2021 when the consultation will close.

What is the Local Plan?

The draft Trafford Local Plan sets out a vision and framework of policies for the future development of Trafford, addressing needs and opportunities in Trafford and providing a framework to deliver inclusive places, new housing, economic growth, community facilities and infrastructure – as well as a basis for conserving and enhancing the natural and historic environment, mitigating and adapting to climate change, and achieving well designed places.

The Local Plan will provide a positive vision for the future of Trafford; a framework for addressing housing needs and other economic, social and environmental priorities as well as a platform for local people to help shape their surroundings. The Local Plan will address the strategic priorities of Trafford.
