"Places for Everyone" is a proposed long-term plan of nine Greater Manchester districts (Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan) for jobs, new homes, and sustainable growth.
Sadly the plan says very little about the importance of community facilities and nothing specifically about the role of pubs which are vital hubs for social networks. The plan also fails to recognise the role pubs often play in providing distinct identities for Greater Manchester's communities as well as often being significant heritage assets in themselves.
If you wish to comment you can do so until the 3rd October:-
