The Greater Manchester Archaeological Advisory Service is working alongside Bolton, Oldham and Trafford councils to create Local Heritage Lists of Buildings, Monuments and other features of the borough that contribute to the heritage of an area but which do not qualify for a listing by Heritage England. Whilst these lists do not create any additional needs for planning permission, they are consulted when planning permission is required, and the council should try and preseve the "special interest" that was identified when the structure was added to the list.

and until the end of December you can submit nominations for buildings you feel should be included or add supporting information to existing nominations.
