Sale and it's neighbouring areas of Sale Moor and Brooklands have a mix of historic traditional pubs, more recent builds and modern bars. The area is easily accessed from Manchester city centre using the Metrolink tram system with stops at Dane Road, Sale & Brooklands. Sale and Sale Moor are also well served by buses from Manchester with the regular 41 service and from Altrincham where most services heading north run up the A56 Cross Street passing The Vine & The Volunteer Hotel.
Chorlton-cum-Hardy (with neighbouring Whalley Range) has 28 pubs serving real ale in less than one square mile.

Altrincham & surrounding areas of Broadheath, Hale & Timperley have a mix of traditional pubs, modern "gastro-pubs" and modern bars. Altrincham is easily accessed from Manchester city centre using the Metrolink tram system. Altrincham & Hale are also served by traditional rail services both from Manchester & from Cheshire.
